With two large ponds and access to Tarrywile Lake, Tarrywile Park offers a variety of opportunities for fishing aficionados. C.D. Parks created the Parks Pond as a swimming hole for the enjoyment of the Parks family but it is now enjoyed by fishing enthusiasts as the source of a variety of sport species. Fishermen and fisherwomen are encouraged to visit Tarrywile to test their skills and try their luck. Park rules require that you have a current Connecticut fishing license that can be obtained from the Danbury Town Clerk’s Office.
For more information regarding fishing on the Tarrywile property please contact the Tarrywile Park Authority at 203-744-3130.
Interested fishing enthusiasts are also encouraged to contact the Danbury Fish & Game Association at DanburyFishnGame@Gmail.com. Members of this non-profit organization are dedicated to the enhancement of the sport of fishing in Danbury and are supporters of Tarrywile Park and the Friends of Tarrywile.
